Safety issues delaying Fredericksburg trail

The new Virginia Central Railway Trail won’t be ready this summer. Walkers, runners and bike riders will have to wait until Labor Day before they can enjoy the $3.1 million trail.

This trail opened in December of 2012 and now has a loop of 3.1 miles of paved walkway along the river and canal
